Have never been on a cruise and it's on my wish list. A fabulous way to travel and see the sights of home, which is even better.

The E. Elgar cruise sounds fantastic!
I like short breaks in the UK.
Last year we booked short breaks at few days notice, after checking the weather forecast for the incoming seven days and we enjoyed best of British. Were we unfair to the travel business?

The lower Severn valley is an area that we have not explored but the holiday and particularly the Edward Elgar look great. I like the idea of the small group on board because it gives you the chance to get to know everyone.
We have visited Helmsley previously and but have not stayed in the Black Swan. We had a super time and really love Helmsley and the wider area. Both are great prizes but even if not lucky enough to win (which would be great) these provide some great ideas for a shorter UK break.

A trip on the Edward Elgar sounds as if it would be something different and interesting. 2013 was a dreadful year for me, and winning this would cheer me up o end.

We often passed the.Black Swan on our way to the Youth Hostel in Helmsley many moons ago, when the children were small, and told ourselves "One of these days...." but we never did. It would be lovely to finally be on the inside looking out, instead of on the outside looking in.

It will be my birthday soon and so the break at the The Black Swan would be wonderful if I was lucky enough to win. Also my wife's mother, who was 94, died just before Christmas, and so getting away for a couple of days would be an ideal pick-me-up for my wife.

2013 was a year of ill health so a short break away would be most welcome. The write up of the two prizes and the picture of the Black Swan look most inviting. I have never heard of the Black Swan before nor been on a cruise so here's hoping I might get the chance :-]

I went on a P&O cruise and sadly there was very bad weather and we were not able to visit all the ports listed..
However the events on board were really great and I was enjoying the cruise, until sadly I caught a flu bug and cough as did many of the other passengers and I started with a visit to the hospital and then spent most of my time in my cabin until we docked and I went home still having to recover.
I really would love to go on another cruise and the prize this month sounds great. So please put me in for the prize draw.
One more comment I did claim on my holiday insurance but it did not cover all the expenses through being ill.
I hope P&O will consider about a free trip or a big discount to all the passengers who became ill and perhaps this is something they will do in the future, as it really has stopped me wishing to travel with them again. and I would now like to try other cruise lines as there are so many countries I would like to visit and missed through being ill..

Listening to Edward Elgar music on The Edward Elgar cruising down the serene Gloucester Sharpness canal taking in the gentle picturesque Cotswold countryside.
This must be the 'Best of British' and that's only some of what's on offer!

I've always fancied a river cruise so the holiday along the Gloucester-Sharpness Canal, especially with the chance to see the Forest of Dean and the Slimbridge Wildlife and Wildfowl Centre would be just so absolutely fantastic.

I live in Gloucestershire but cruising along the Canal would be a lovely way to get a new angle on familiar scenery. And Slimbridge is always worth a visit, so I'd love this as a prize.
