Greece and her islands hold very precious memories for me, and no terrorist threat or other crisis would deter me from revisiting this lovely country with her warm and welcoming residents. Thank you, Greece!

Both are great locations - go for Portugal for shorter flight time, Greece if you can handle longer flights

This would be a perfect prize for us as we love both these countries and have spent many happy hours in both places when we were younger and had far more energy with our two children who both now have children of their own. We can either sight see or relax by the pool now but either pass time is perfect for us these days, quality time together what more could anyone ask for!

Thessaloniki mmmmm. The name summons up St Paul's journeys, pilgrims of yesteryear? The area seems very interesting to me. Perhaps it's the writer in me? Or should that be the wannabe writer? Whatever, I would love to take my husband to these climes.

We have never been to Thessaloniki. In fact we have only ever visited the Greek Islands - whitewashed houses and sandy beaches. A bit of culture would be nice for a change!

I would love to visit Thessaloniki. I became interested in the history of the area because I teach Circle Dance including quite a lot of Greek and Turkish dances, and large scale population movements are relevant to the origin of dances. I also recently read "The Thread" by Victoria Hislop which really brought the history to life.

Read the Victoria Hislop novel based around Thessaloniki so it would be lovely to see the actual place.
