To Oldly GoThis is a book that celebrates the mature traveller in every guise!  Whether white-water rafting in Switzerland, as our patron John Carter did, being the oldest of the group climbing the Great Wall of China, well done Diane Moran or ballooning in Turkey whilst travelling solo like reviewer, Kay Wiseman, each contributor has stepped outside their comfort zone and travelled a little bit daringly.

This must surely be an ideal gift for everyone who’s ever dreamt of breaking out and galloping, perhaps metaphorically, into the sunset. Admire the writers of these tales and be inspired to try something different! Or maybe sit comfortably on the sofa and wonder at the insatiable wanderlust of others. Whichever your stance, it is a great read, with laughs and sighs, highs and lows.

To purchase your copies, send an email to [email protected] with your full name and address, please. You can pay by cheque, PayPal or BACS transfer. The cost, including postage, is a very reasonable £10.

Listen to Hilary Bradt telling Jennie about the book and some of her own Silver Travel moments.

This book has got to be read, if you're interested in people and travel. I laughed out loud at some stories and shuddered in amazement at others! Loved the idea of Diana Moran doing Green Goddess stretches on the Great Wall of China.
