The Silver Traveller First Edition 2021

Travel Talk

The new edition of the free magazine from Silver Travel Advisor

The Silver Traveller 2021 The first 2021 edition of our magazine, The Silver Traveller, celebrating our 10th anniversary, is now available to read online. It’s perfect for a little dreaming and planning for the future.

We hope there’s lots to whet your appetite for holidays ahead. We take a close look at the UK, even testing your knowledge of Scotland with a short quiz. And our crossword this time is UK focussed too. There are no shortages of interesting holidays to take at home from narrowboats to tours of castles, lodges in forests or moments in the air in a Tiger Moth. The European, Far and Away and Cruise sections will give you inspiration and hopefully, get you thinking about travel again.

Our tantalising articles include:

  • Meet a silver couple who have an award-winning B&B and garden on the Isle of Wight
  • Travel and cook with Prue Leith in Venice
  • Madeira – a land for all seasons
  • Cruising in the Arctic and Antarctic
  • Islands in Greece and the Indian Ocean to wish for
  • How travel companies are responding to the pandemic
  • Silver Life – trusted products and services for time at home

At the end of the magazine our Travel Directory gives you all the details of our trusted travel partners. They’ve been selected as offering excellent service for the over 50s, often going an extra mile (or two) to ensure you get what you need whilst travelling. You’ll find familiar favourites as well as new companies who have recently joined us.
