The Coach HouseThis draw is now closed.

This month’s guest blogger will have the opportunity to visit Norfolk accompanied by 3 other people, to stay for 2 nights in the most beautiful Coach House, which is a perfect escape on a private country estate. Situated at the end of a long secluded drive, just a short distance from Downham Market in Norfolk in Hilgay, a sweet village with a river running through it.

The Coach House is ideal for extended families or small groups, and is most certainly a 5* self-catering property, with luxurious furniture and fittings as well as a log-burning stove, the latest in home entertainment technology and a superb kitchen. The Coach HouseShould you really wish to spoil yourselves, a chef can be arranged too! The grounds, garden and courtyard are totally idyllic, and you can enjoy the most perfect hot tub experience as well. There is space for everyone to relax and play, with dining areas for a full house both in and outdoors.

This is a Visit England Gold Award property and it is easy to see why, every detail has been considered to ensure that your holiday here is unforgettable. The delights of Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire are within easy reach, as are beaches and the wide open skies so often painted and photographed.

Our guest blogger and their 3 companions will stay for two nights in the two ensuite master bedrooms and enjoy the delights of The Coach House. In return we ask, that you write two article, of about 6/700 words each, accompanied by three or four photos: one article on the property and its special features, the second on the area and what there is to be enjoyed.

A perfect gift to two elderly friends (81 and 86) who need some help in travelling now after many years of exciting breaks and holidays to accompany myself and husband on a mystery tour of beautiful Norfolk staying in what looks like perfect accommodation and sampling the delights of the area. I would welcome the opportunity to report back to you on our experiences.

Have faith, DavidT, I can attest that Silver Travel Advisor does indeed offer short stays to guests in exchange for a little travel writing - I was chosen to visit The Buckatree Hall Hotel in Shropshire last year and it was delightful. I enjoyed a visit to Norwich a few years ago and would like to explore more of Norfolk. I would dearly love to add The Coach House to my travels but sadly I do not have plans as of yet to visit the UK in the near future as I am in the middle of moving.

Well in that case schroedie I would just lurrv to spend a couple of special days at the Coach House with three of my favourite people. My wife Joan, my youngest son Richard and my gorgeous daughter in law Caroline. Dick and Caz live in Wymondham near Norwich. We have spent many lovely weekends with them over the last 10 years and they have shown us everything that Norfolk has to offer from it's beautiful beaches to it's Royal residence and it's English Whiskey Distillery. This makes me the perfect choice to repay their hospitality and to let you know about all the lovely places to visit in this part of East Anglia.

Well spotted, RR! I'm sure it said 30 June when I sent in my comment - at least we're all in the same boat :)
I'd still post a few words: what's the worst that can happen?

Hi, I’d love to be the guest blogger for The Coach House in Hilgay, especially as it would be a chance to take a dear friend and her partner away with me and my chap.
Our combined brainpower could come up with two super articles, covering every aspect of the property and its features, and also covering the surrounding area and attractions. Between us we’re keen on gardening, photography, wildlife, geocaching and exploring, while Norfolk has the extra attraction of a wealth of Anglo-Saxon artefacts, so we could immerse ourselves in the history of an area that’s new to all of us.
It would be great fun to visit together, and I’d also relish the chance to make my debut as a guest blogger. I write regular reviews for Silver Travel Advisor, produce my own regular blog on a multitude of subjects, and I’d love to be chosen to review this lovely property and area.

This won't be the first time I've entered the draw to be a guest blogger, nor the first time I've hoped to have a break in Norfolk. Living in Devon, Norfolk is almost a lifetime away - several hours on the motorway, including the infamous M25. In spite of this, my wife and I are determined to pay a visit someday soon, and would find it a pleasure to add the reviews to my ever-increasing portfolio. More than that, I have a brother-in-law and his wife who are adamant that Silver Travel Advisor cannot possibly offer short stays to guests in exchange for a little travel writing! I would dearly love to invite then along and demonstrate how wrong they are not to have faith in you!!

I would love to win this! I would take my son, his partner and my 11 year old grandson. They have, very generously, shared their self catering holidays in France with me each year and it would be nice for me to say to them "my time to take you away!". They would love this! I love writing reviews and posting them on Silver Travel Advisor so writing two articles would be no hardship - it would be a pleasure!
