New York, New York

Home to the Empire State Building, Times Square, the Statue of Liberty and many other tourist attractions, New York is undoubtedly one of the most exciting cities in the world. We explore some of the best that New York has to offer.

With amazing sights to be seen, lots of world class shows, beautiful architecture to take in and plenty of wonderful restaurants to dine in New York ticks all the boxes! Not to mention of course a seemingly endless variety of shops including the world’s biggest department store, Macy’s.

Where to Stay in the Big Apple?

Times Square, New York We decided that we wanted to stay in a central location and what better place to choose than the bustling heart of New York; the famous Times Square! Surrounded by neon lights, giant electronic billboards, Broadway theaters, and television studios, Times Square is amazing.

With this location in mind, we decided to stay at the Millennium Broadway Hotel; and we couldn’t have made a better choice! Located in the heart of Broadway on West 44th Street, this hotel is perfectly located for guests to experience a true taste of New York and be within walking distance to some of the main attractions with Times Square just a short 1-minute stroll away.

Although situated in the heart of the bustling city, this 4-star luxury hotel consists of 626 spacious and comfortable rooms, all boasting floor to ceiling windows. We were lucky enough to stay on the top floor (52 stories high!) and the views of Times Square and Mid-town, including a front row seat of the Empire State Building from our hotel room were spectacular!

The Millennium Broadway Hotel has a wide range of amenities you would expect from a hotel of this standard including a 24/7 fitness centre, valet parking, concierge desk, dry cleaning service and WiFi. The Millennium Broadway Hotel has everything you need and more!

Before starting your busy day exploring the amazing sights of New York, I would highly recommend a visit to the Restaurant Charlotte conveniently located at the entrance to the hotel. Serving a vast choice of hot and cold American breakfast options, including mouth-watering pancakes, waffles or French toast, this restaurant will certainly set you up for a great start to the day!

Exploring New York Attractions

Brooklyn Bridge, New York Eager to explore the best of what the Big Apple has to offer, we didn’t want to miss out on anything! After some research into the sights that we wanted to visit, including the Empire State Building, Top of The Rock, 9/11 Memorial museum, and many more, we came across the New York CityPass.

From CityPass.com you can buy an easy to use ticket booklet; which provides you with admission into the best tourist attractions that New York has to offer. With so many sights to see, the CityPass gives you the freedom to explore the New York attractions at extremely good value for money. Not to mention the discount vouchers contained within the booklet including 15% off both Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s. It’s hard not to treat yourself!

Circle Line Cruises

Circle Line Sightseeing Cruises Another great way to see the views and architecture of New York, including the iconic Statue of Liberty, is by taking to the water with Circle Line Sightseeing Cruises. Whilst Circle Line Sightseeing offers a wide range of cruises to suit your own itinerary, we opted for the ‘Landmark Cruise’, which I would highly recommend!

During this 90 minute cruise, we were able to experience breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline including views of One World Trade Center, Empire State Building, Brooklyn Bridge, Wall Street, the Chrysler Building, United Nations and the East Village. My personal favourite part of the cruise was sailing only 100ft away from the Statue of Liberty herself. There are so many picture-perfect moments on this cruise. It’s not to be missed!

Conclusion

New York City has so much to offer and there are endless possibilities when deciding where to eat, where to shop or what show to see but with the central location of the Millennium Broadway Hotel combined with the freedom of the NYC CityPass, New York is yours to explore and enjoy.
