Reasons for trip

Went to see Peter James’ play ‘Not Dead Enough’ at the New Victoria Theatre in Woking last week. Sufficiently enjoyed the play. There was a few bits of humour which was good. There was sufficient suspense even though the ‘whodunnit’ was quite predictable. But we go to the play not always for the clever plot but the stage production. Otherwise we go see a film or stay home and watch Silent Witness on
TV.

The staging was clever; the stage was sectioned and where the actors stood, you know it is the police station or the pathology lab. The acting; Shane Ritchie and Laura Whitmore was very good but there would be more to say if they weren’t. Lol!

Woking theatre is new and excellent. Good, clean and the seats comfortable with enough leg room. Parking is easy, although once within the car park, it can be slightly confusing. But that could be because it was my first time in this car park. Price for parking not too bad at £1.30 if I went in after 7:00PM. Show starts at 7:30PM and so I didn’t want to risk it and I paid £2.60 to get in before 6:00PM.

Here’s a bit of warning: the parking machine did not return me my correct change. So, if you are like me and hate being cheated, bring the correct change for the machine. (If they take 40p extra from every other car, that is thousands of pounds they don’t even need to declare in their tax each year.)

Planning to go back to see Le Boheme next week (with the correct change for parking) and will also try for the 7:00PM entry to the car park to see how much of a rush it will be.
