This month we have an absolute treat for a single traveller – a 7 night stay in the Lake District with Chapters Experience Holidays.

Our prize winner this month will join a Lakeland Explorer holiday and immerse themselves in the natural beauty that abounds here – lakes that take your breath away, scenery that can only be described as awesome and charming small towns that reflect a traditional way of life. There will be walks on most days, a leisurely 5 miles maximum, taking you to Buttermere, Derwentwater and Windermere. For fresh air and relaxed exercise, there can be no better place: unspoilt countryside, surrounded by the majestic fells, with views of the sparkling lakes, light dancing across the water.
There will be visits too to Borrowdale and Eskdale, Munster Castle and the chance to enjoy afternoon tea at Lindeth Howe, once home of Beatrix Potter, now a hotel. You’ll go to the church where Wordsworth is buried at Grasmere and take a boat trip across Windermere.
Hassness Country House provides a true retreat at the end of each day, with fabulous food, full board is included apart from one evening meal. The lounge offers panoramic views across the lake where you can totally relax and enjoy the company of your fellow holidaymakers and leader. You might even spot a red squirrel and you’ll certainly enjoy the birdlife!
