Perhaps Berlin’s second most iconic monument after the Berlin Wall, the Brandenburg Gate was built in the late 18th century. Like many of Berlin’s landmarks, the Brandenburg Gate had suffered significant damage following WWII. Today it has been fully restored and appears particularly elegant when lit-up in the nighttime or during the Festival of Lights.

Whether you’re going to tour the famed sites of Berlin or simply want to walk the streets and enjoy the local food and drink, a trip to this thriving European city is sure to be one to remember.
